Box

Use a box measuring approximately 18" x 18" x 24" – about the size of box for a computer monitor. Avoid boxes that are too big. The saddle may move around, the box is more likely to get damaged, and shipping costs will be higher. You can find boxes at moving companies (i.e., U-Haul), stationary stores (i.e., Staples) or home improvement centres (i.e., Home Depot). If you are shipping with a used box, make sure it is structurally sound and that all previous shipping labels are removed or blacked out. Use wide shipping tape to seal all the edges.

Packing Material

Place a layer of crumpled newspaper, shredded paper, foam or an old blanket at the bottom of the box to act as a cushion. These materials work very well and can be reused. Please do not use packing peanuts or plastic wrapped fibreglass.

Packing

Remove the stirrup leathers, girth, saddle pad, billet guards and bucking strap or handhold from the saddle. Place your saddle cover over them with your name clearly indicated. Make sure your saddle is in a plastic bag along with an envelope that contains instructions, any wither tracings or photographs, and your contact information.

Information required

• Your name and return shipping address.
• A phone number (home, work and/or cell number) where you can be reached and the best time for us to call. You need to approve the quote before work can begin and if we cannot reach you, there may be a delay in returning your saddle. An email address is also helpful.
• A list of the repairs or alterations required, and any observations and questions you may have.
• Payment information including a Visa or MasterCard number with expiry date, OR a request to call for a credit card number OR a request to call with the total amount so a cheque can be issued. All repair work must be paid for before the saddle is shipped back to you.

Shipping

The saddle can be sent to us via the courier of your choice (UPS, Purolator, FedEx, etc.), but will be returned via Purolator unless otherwise specified. The address should be indicated on the box as well as on the courier's forms that are attached to the box:
